Free to be: Portraits of squatters (ADM & Bajesdorp) in 4bid gallery

Free to be is an ongoing project, a visual journey through Amsterdam free space culture.

ADM was a creative free haven and the Netherlands’ largest squatted community. In January 2019, ADM residents were brutally evicted from the terrain they occupied for 21 years. Bajesdorp residents will also be evicted in the next months. However, they bought a part of the land they currently occupy and a new Bajesdorp will raise on this site.
Valeria Mongelli realized a photo reportage on, and in collaboration with, ADM and Bajesdorp residents.
